The Eastpoint Christmas Parade and Celebration is this Friday, Dec. 9 starting at 4:30 p.m. This spirited parade travels down Highway 98 from Seller’s Plaza to Fisherman’s Choice, followed by a visit with Santa at the firehouse.

The Annual Christmas on the Coast Parade will be held on Reid Avenue in downtown Port St. Joe. Judging of the floats will begin at 5 p.m. EST on Saturday, Dec. 10, with categories: Schools and Non-Profit, Family and Friends, Business, and Faith-Based. After the parade, be sure to visit Santa in the gazebo next to City Hall. The parade begins at 6 p.m..

The Crooked River Lighthouse will host a special Blues & BBQ Full Moon Lighthouse event this Friday, Dec. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Carrabelle, featuring live blues music, bonfire, and BBQ. Bring a chair and enjoy the evening. Admission for this special event is $15 per adult and $8 per child. Admission must be purchased in advance. The Port St. Joe Garden Club invites the community to its Christmas in the Garden Celebration on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. EST at the Garden Center, located at 216 Eighth Street. Unique handmade gifts, baked goods, and Forgotten Coast holiday décor will be featured, along with this year’s commemorative ornament. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale of the specially designed tree trimmer will benefit programs tailored for children at the Corinne Costin Gibson Memorial Public Library. 

The Apalachicola Farmers Market is this Saturday, Dec. 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mill Pond Pavilion at the end of Market Street. The market offers local seafood, produce, honey, homemade breads, pies, and other regional specialties every second and fourth Saturday. For more info email farmersmarket@cityofapalachicola.com

The Bay Area Choral Society will be presenting “It’s Christmas!” at the First United Methodist Church of Port St. Joe on Friday, Dec. 9 starting at 6 p.m. EST. Tickets are $10. Concert goers are encouraged to secure tickets in advance online at Eventbrite.com or by calling 863-698-8773. The concert will feature solos from local performers. They perform at Trinity Episcopal Church in Apalachicola on Dec. 11.

The Carrabelle Chamber of Commerce will host the annual Holiday on the Harbor Street Festival and Boat Parade of Lights this Saturday, Dec. 10 from 1 to 8 p.m. in downtown Carrabelle, on the harbor along Marine Street.

This free street festival features children’s activities including a petting zoo, arts and crafts, food and drink, live entertainment by Cody Barber and the band Cheap Sunglasses, a lighted boat parade starting at about 6:15 p.m. and a fireworks finale.
